Sisters working within the Diocese of Kitui, outside Nairobi, report an impressive success in adapting the methods of the AACSS Conference to a program for raising awareness and fostering cooperation among secondary school administration and faculty. The participants followed the model of the Southeast Regional Conference and subsequently developed specific action plans for implementation within their schools. This positive response among administrators and teachers has encouraged Sisters to continue a series of five - day conferences throughout Kenya. The action plans are evaluated after six months. The model has now been adapted for various groups. |

RESPONSE |
|
Sisters who train younger sisters in Cameroon participated in an AACSS conference from September 26 to 28, 2008. Major superiors in Cameroon gathered for an AACSS conference from January 19 to 20, 2009. All the Sisters have realized the need for greater networking and collaboration. They have taken significant steps towards developing collaboration among themselves and with outside agencies. Further, local Sisters in Cameroon have opened an AACSS office in Yaoundé to further the work of the Conference. |
