Cameroon:

A National Conference for English speaking Sisters was offered November 29 to December 5, 2006 in Bamenda, Northeast Province, Cameroon. Local Sisters offered another AAC:SS conference for French speaking Sisters August 26 to September 1, 2007, in Bafoussam. The AAC:SS sponsored the participation of twenty local women religious in a certified five-month training program for counselors in Anglophone Cameroon.

Sisters who train younger Sisters in Cameroon participated in an AAC:SS conference from September 26 to 28, 2008. Major superiors in Cameroon gathered for an AAC:SS conference from January 19 to 20, 2009 with AAC:SS Co-Directors. Local Sisters, realizing the need for greater networking and collaboration, met in November 2010 with the AAC:SS Co-Directors and a bilingual priest who was an experienced counselor for a three day conference to discuss significant steps towards developing collaboration among themselves and with outside agencies. Further, local Sisters in Cameroon have opened an AAC:SS office in Yaoundé to further the work of the Conference.
